Richard Mew,


Richard Mew’s strength is his work ethic. Whether as a Vancouver tax advisor or business consultant to a small corporation, or as the President of a Canadian charity, Richard performs his duties with professionalism and care. His primary focus at Mew and Company, as its founder and one of its Vancouver tax advisors, is tax planning for Canadian corporations and high net worth clients. 

Richard’s tax practice is focused on reorganization of privately held Canadian companies, tax free rollovers into Canadian owned corporations, and succession planning for shareholders. He has a successful track record in representing corporations and individuals in dispute resolution with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

Richard articled with PricewaterhouseCooper, specializing in the audit of financial instutitions. He later joined Dresdner Bank of Canada as a controller, responsible for the financial reporting of complex hedge positions. 

Personal Interests 

Richard is a strong supporter of local artists and their work. He is the past president of the Vancouver International Centre for Contemporary Asian Art and supports numerous fund raising functions organized by the local art community. He is also an avid traveler, particularly to the Far East.
